Montréal UNESCO City of Design
An ever-evolving project |
| |
| Did you notice our new visual identity, launched today on our website and in this newsletter? No revolution here but instead the natural evolution of an initiative that is gathering more and more support as the Montreal design community, the citizens, and the various decision makers are gradually taking ownership of a designation that belongs first and foremost to them. We will announce in a few weeks a series of activities to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the designation of Montréal as "UNESCO City of Design". In the meantime, today's readjustment of our visual identity gives you a glimpse of where we are heading with this initiative that aims at being proactive, inclusive, and, as always, centered around our goal of shining the spotlight on Montreal designers and their work. |

Montréal en parcours invites you to city hall |

| As part of World Landscape Architecture Month, proposals for urban walks will be exhibited from April 15 to 26 in the city hall lobby. These proposals for walks in Montréal were developed last fall by graduating students in the landscape architecture school at Université de Montréal and are the result of a “research/project” experiment promoting a goal supported by the Montréal UNESCO City of Design initiative, namely the presentation of Montréal urban landscapes. |
