Architectural competition: NDG Cultural Centre + Benny Library

The Oscar Peterson Concert Hall hosted a Montreal first on September 16 with the public presentation of the finalists in the architectural design competition for the future Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Cultural Centre and the Benny Library. Aside from the members of the jury, the audience comprised architects, students and citizens that were presented with four distinct architectural proposals. The winner of the competition will be announced shortly.

Architectural competition: Saint-Laurent Sports Complex

The architectural design competition for the building of a new sports complex in the Saint-Laurent Borough, the first competition selected as part of the call for projects launched by Réalisons Montréal, has entered the file-study phase. The names of the finalists will be made public shortly and the winner should be announced in January 2011.

Call for proposals: Public Service Advertising Competition [Shenzhen]

The City of Shenzhen, China, a member of the UNESCO Cities of Design network, is inviting Montréal designers to take part in its 5th Public Service Advertising Competition. The competition opened July 7, and the deadline for entries is November 5, 2010.
